We’re excited to announce the launch of Participa City, a European project tackling racism and discrimination while promoting inclusion and active participation. Together with five experienced partners, we aim to empower individuals and communities with innovative tools to foster fairness and equity.
What’s the Project About?
Participa City builds on the Partizipa City simulation game, originally designed to explore how diverse communities can shape an inclusive, democratic society. By adapting it into a European version, we’ll address the unique challenges of racism and discrimination across cultures, providing a dynamic, gamified learning tool.
What’s Planned?
Over the project’s duration, we will:
- Explore Challenges: Research the barriers to preventing racism and discrimination in Europe.
- Equip Educators: Train adult education professionals and community leaders with tools to promote inclusion and prevent discrimination.
- Adapt the Game: Create an enhanced version of the Participa City game, including a trainer’s guide and digital toolbox.
- Foster Networks: Build a community of trained professionals to spread these tools across Europe.
Why Gamification?
By turning complex social issues into an interactive learning experience, gamification encourages empathy, collaboration, and practical solutions. The game provides a safe space to understand real-world challenges and inspires action towards inclusive societies.
