The EU-funded Participa City project is underway, working to prevent racism and discrimination against ethnic and cultural minorities across Europe. A key element of the project is to promote inclusion and participation of ethnic and cultural minorities in European society, sensitising decision makers to avoid discriminatory structures and practices, and fostering a diversity-friendly climate. Currently, ParticipaCity is in its research phase, exploring the landscape of racism prevention and identifying key challenges of Europe.
To gain a comprehensive understanding, the project team is conducting interviews with experts in the field and gathering data through a public survey.
The survey aims to uncover insights into:
- Which groups are most affected by racism and discrimination.
- In which fields these biases are most prevalent.
- Which stakeholders are involved in prevention efforts.
- The competence gaps that need to be addressed.
- Effective acting recommendations for reducing discrimination.
The findings from this research will inform the development of innovative training approaches and resources, including Participa City game, to empower individuals and organizations to challenge discrimination and promote equality.
